- The Batavia Coast is home to many beautiful beaches such as Gnaraloo, Red Bluff and Coronation Beach. It is heaven for surfers, kitesurfers and windsurfers.

- The region offers a rich marine life with a variety of fish species including the famous Western rock lobster. Kalbarri National Park supports one of the world’s greatest spring wildflower displays.

- Visitors can explore the Abrolhos Islands which are known for their unique marine environment and coral reef system. The islands have been designated as a marine reserve to protect the marine life, birdlife and flora/fauna.

- The Batavia Coast has a rich cultural heritage and is home to a number of Aboriginal communities including the Yamaji people of Geraldton.

- The region is also famous for the pink lakes, Lake Hillier and Hutt Lagoon. These lakes are pink due to the presence of pink algae called Dunaliella salina.

- The Batavia Coast is also home to many nature reserves such as Millstream-Chichester National Park, Francois Peron National Park and Cape Range National Park. These reserves are home to rare and endangered species such as the black-flanked rock wallaby.

- Visitors can explore the Geraldton Museum, where they can discover the local history and culture of the region.

- The Batavia Coast has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers. The best time to visit the region is between March to November.
